Oregon Daily Tele-Pome Line

The Oregon Daily Tele-Pome Line, a collaboration between Portland-based poet Anis Mojgani and Oliver Blank, was activated in April 2022 for National Poetry Month. Each day of April, callers to the phone-line would hear a single poem from one of Oregon’s state Poet Laureates.

Within hours many people called in search of poetry with callers from across Oregon and beyond: Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles, Charlotte, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Vermont, Idaho, Colorado, Hawaii, Seattle, New York, Montana, Boston, and as far as Mexico and Canada.

The Tele-Pome Line was made possible with the support of Oregon Humanities, Oregon Cultural Trust, and the Academy of American Poets.
